Thank goodness there is a new prime time show I can languish my love on. I am a sucker for a religious themed television series. God Friended Me fits the bill. An atheist pod creator gets a Facebook request from “God” to befriend him. Yes, there was plenty of cringy dialogue. Yes, there was a predictable nature to the story. But tears came easily and the actors are charming through the roof. Greg Berlanti wins again with this and the Lifetime series “You”. (still watching and thrilling after four episodes).
