This creepy documentary hardly gives you a moment of joy without dealing with the darkest fears this great artist suffered. It’s all here from insecurity, drug use, sexual confusion & abuse, rehab, power plays, motherhood, and paranoia. Two unforgettable moments are her first television performance doing “Home” from the Wiz along with the first post-apartheid concert where she ripped your heart with” I Will Always Love You” almost make this a worthwhile trip. It would be better to have fond memories of her glorious voice rather than this tabloid infested documentary.
