The only reason to see Dark River is to witness Ruth Wilson from the Showtime Series “The Affair” get a chance transport us to Yorkshire. The thick accents make most of the film unintelligible. But Wilson’s eyes tells us so much about her abusive relationship with her father that words aren’t necessary. This Indie British Art film is remarkably depressing. If you need a Ruth Wilson fix this might be your cup of tea.
