Poem of the Week

Ebony stage food demonstration

At the GLBT Village

Umbrellas shade the sun

Anti-oxidant qualities of blueberries

Squeezing the life out of lemons

Picking out the pits

Active charcoal added for the Rainbow flag

And digestion

Grinding ice ingredients

Pouring into plastic cups

Try to slurp down my throat

Until a gentle soul hands me a spoon

Diverse crowd perks my interest

Tease flirting with men and women

Drink number two with strawberry

Congealed with mint

Coating my abdomen

Chasing my sinus cavities

Scanning unknown smells

Pulling lung air

Gasping thrilling
