Wow. This super violent French thriller really hits your gut. Shimmering photography and crisp editing make for an over the top entertainment. There was a enough blood that the Red Cross should be concerned about their supply. The simple female empowerment rape revenge story works well with the #MeTOO movement. Coralie Fargeat directs with every ounce of energy and style available.  Matilda Lutz has charisma to burn. The camera lovingly eats her up.
