As you listen you might feel like The Clash had been reincarnated. “Don’t worry” has a laconic laid back harmony working on you. “1933” is a sweet rock song with rushing lyrics. “Little Changes” is 80’s pop brought back to life. The arrangement on “Make America Great Again” is sumptuous. You’ll love the snare drum on “Going Nowhere”. “Brave Fears” takes advantage of sweeping hooks. “Common Ground” has a lilt in phrasing especially with the line “Meet on the Bridge and Forgive.” The final two songs “The Lifeboat” and “Get it Right” sound like they were favorably stolen from the Simon and Garfunkel songbook.
