When Judy Garland sang-Every trick of his, you’re onto from A Star Is Born, did she know it was in reference to a sexual trick. For gay men, it meant a one-night stand. And of course, gay men were one of Judy’s largest audiences. After the AIDS decimation of my community, you could describe a trick, as being nasty with a nasty outcome. Or maybe nasty could have a double meaning-not always a negative connotation. Like in the film Wicked, when being wicked took on a  wonderful sexual meaning. Luckily I’ve never had a nasty trick and if I had, maybe I wouldn’t be alive today.
