Dead of Winter on HBO is an excellent thriller taking place in Northern Minnesota. Emma Thompson is going to spread her husband’s ashes in Hilda Lake but she runs into a kidnapping and decides the free the victim. Brian Kirk directs with maximum suspense & Judy Greer is deliciously evil.
