Kiss of the Spider Woman was a major disappointed despite a luminous Jennifer Lopez, touching performance by Tonatiuh & virile Diego Luna. With Bill Condon writing and directing you wonder how could this go wrong. First off, they eliminated melodic Ebb and Kander songs because of the conceit that all the musical numbers were done in the fantasy sequences. Ugh! Jennifer Lopez belts out her songs and dances up a storm but the whole thing goes flat & lifeless.
