And Juliet at the Los Angeles Ahmanson Theatre is a frolicking jukebox musical where Shakespeare’s wife wants a new ending to Romeo & Juliet. We follow Juliet’s empowering growth through the songs of Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, & Whitney Spears among other pop icons. Great voices abound with Lois Ellise, Paul-Jordan Jansen, Teal Wicks, Corey Mach, Nick Drake & Mateus Cardoso & Michael Canu.  Superlative choreography by Jennifer Weber. I just wish the orchestrations by Bill Sherman had more variety because a sameness permeates the show. Scene projections are a blast. Sound is overpowering.
