Stephen Aron, the President and CEO of the Autry Museum spoke in my political science class today. I brought up Karen Wilson and how she curated the exhibition of Jews in Los Angeles and he explained that she was one of his doctoral students. Of course, I mentioned that I knew Karen through my membership at the oldest LGBTQ+ synagogue in the world-BCC. How can I not plug our beloved temple.
