Observations: Gratitude

This morning, the god of gratitude, woke me up. On Saturday, my ten minute play Exploring was read at the Westwood library. My good friend Charlie and exceptional friend and priceless editor Michael Main read the parts of two brother-in-laws-Grant (Gay) and Liam(Straight) who fall in love. The play takes place after the memorial service for Liam’s wife and Grant’s sister. There were five other ten minute plays read but of course I thought mine was the best. But the gratitude comes into play because the all the other plays had “real” actors while Charlie and Michael have never acted a day in their life. They held the 70 people at the library spellbound. I read the stage directions and that made the experience even richer. Now if the prep for my colonoscopy goes  well along with the results tomorrow, then I will have another day of gratitude.
