Over the next few days, we’re excited to be introducing you to our ensemble of artists bringing our live podcast recording of “A Homeless Thanksgiving”! Last but definitely not least, we’re delighted to introduce our amazing playwright: Gordon Blitz!
After forty years as an accountant, Gordon Blitz retired in 2017 and became a passionate writing machine. As a senior LGBTQ+ man, he has a unique perspective on the many facets of being LGBTQ+ for the last fifty years. He is a diverse multi-media creative artist. In 2023, his play, Reflections of a Gay Jewish Boy was performed at the Region 8 Kennedy Center American Theater College Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada and became a finalist for the National Festival in Washington D.C. His short play. A Beautiful Sludge. was selected to be part of the Equity Library Theater of New York 2024 Virtual Festival. Gordon is also a novelist. In 2021 his novella, Shipped Off, was published by Running Wild Press in the Novella Anthology, Volume 4, Book 1. Since 2021, he has published the novels, Stretched Love, Murder Times Three: A Waverly Place Mystery, and Transformation and Acceptance. When Gordon is not writing, he is busy cooking gourmet gluten-free delicacies, walking 5,000 steps a day or reading Colleen Hoover novels. And since 1990, he has been a proud member of Beth Chayim Chadashim, the oldest LGBTQ+ synagogue in the world.
