A Different Man streaming on HBO/MAX is a difficult film to watch. What starts out as a type of Elephant Man where a deformed man has to deal with loneliness, later the film changes course and goes into a wild and out of control redemption that turns on its head. Stan Sebastian is brilliant in the lead so that is the saving grace. Aaron Schimberg directs this uneven film.
