American Primeval streaming on Netflix is a stupendous 6 part limited series directed stunningly by Peter Berg. It takes place in 1857 Utah Territory. This lawless land, had violent tensions between the white colonizers and the Native Americans, rival indigenous tribes, the U.S. Army, and the Mormon Church’s ruthless Nauvoo Legion. But ultimately the series is a painful romance. The entire cast is outstanding-Betty Gilpin, Taylor Kitsch, Dane Dehaan, Jal Courtney and Saura Lightfoot-Leon
