This thought provoking and uneven film was directed by Marielle Heller, the director of Can You Ever Forgive Me and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Scott McNairy is becoming the go-to-actor for character parts and he shines in his role of Amy’s husband. Unfortunately the film goes off on a weird tangent about Amy Adams becoming a dog!
