Zone of Interest on HBO Max won the Academy Award for Best International Feature. A slow burn but haunting and horrifying take of the Holocaust from the point of view of a Rudolf Hoss and his wife Hedwig. They are living their “dream life” in a house and garden next to the camp Auschwitz. Jonathan Glazer subtle unobtrusive direction and writing serves the the film superbly.
