The first hour of The Exorcist has enough suspense to hold your interest but the second half becomes too hokey and goes off the rails. It’s unfortunate because the curiousity of seeing Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair and the wonderful acting of Leslie Odom Jr. should have been enough to make this worthwhile viewing.
