The Forger playing on Showtime is a superb German film about a Jewish artist in Berlin in 1942 who forges passports and I.D.’s. The lead actor Louis Hoffman give a complex performance and the writer/director Maggie Peren makes the film entertaining and engrossing despite it being yet another Holocaust movie.
