There was so much to like in Gerta Gerwig’s Barbie–the design and costumes, Margot Robbie’s performance, and music and dance numbers. But the uneven quality of the script-moments of cringing humor and thought provoking sequences, takes the viewer out of the entertaining elements of the movie. Ryan Gosling struggles to find the essence of Ken.
