The Measure by Nikki Erlic is another 2023 page-turner with a great premise about every human being over 21 receiving a string–all different lengths–representing how long of life they will have. The repercussions are cataclysmic. The novel is filled with characters you instantly fall in love with. A slight quible about the end but otherwise a flawless masterpiece.
