Seeing Catherine Deneuve, Ethan Hawke, and Juliette Binoche in a movie about actors and writers is sublime. The ageless Deneuve wrings the truth out of her aging actress character with finesse. Juliette Binoche is incapable of making a wrong acting choice. Even Ethan Hawke’s less than stellar performance is entertaining. The film wallows in cliches but who cares with these actors ruffling our feathers for two hours.
