Poem of the Week-Six Feet Under

Six feet of separation

During the 7,500 steps

Conversation less smiles

Virus patiently waits on

Hardy surfaces

Checking my temperature

A daily ritual

Remembrance of things past

AIDS symptoms

Night sweats

Suspicious body marks

Breathing

HIV testing

Thankful for being negative

Limited testing 2020

Pandemic fever pitch

Virtual hugs and kisses

Empty the gut

Forgive me

For Dumping

The savior of

Zoom and skype

Allow classes in

So, please let the sunshine in

Seal the love of my husband Neal

Envelope my sister Elyse and family

Covet Sy, Janet and Charlie

And leave a positive engine

Strapped to me
