‎Queer Slam: Episode 17: “Blessed and Highly Favored” on Apple Podcasts

Monthly Queer Slam at Akbar was a thrilling evening. My idolized early gay icon performer Philip Littell was one of the headliners. I was part of the open mic lineup on stage before Phillip read. I discovered Phillip in the early eighties when he performed with Weba Garretson at The Lhasa Club. Philip’s illustrious career includes writing the libretto for Andre Previn’s opera of A Streetcar Named Desire and Conrad Susa’s opera Dangerous Liaisons.

Connecting with Philip after thirty five years was a fantastic Thanksgiving present.
