Motown Hitsville on Showtime is an excellent documentary weaving us through the history of Motown with Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson guiding us.  With some home movie clips and contemporary interviews, the film does the best it can covering the highlights of Motown. Ken Burns could have a field day and turn the the Motown story into a thirty hour show.
