Indecent starts out with a gut-wrenching scene of the ten characters standing at the front of the stage with sand pouring out of their sleeves. This drama with music tells the story about the scandalous Yiddish play God of Vengeance from the early twentieth century. Having lesbian characters portrayed is blistering. The play has three on stage musicians that envelope the audience in klezmer musicality. With choreography enhancing this spiritual journey along with scenic projections of English/Hebrew, you are in for a mystical experience. The well-earned standing ovation makes this a must see theatrical event.
