Why did they cast John Turturro in this limited series remake of The Name of the Rose? A convoluted mess that is almost unwatchable. The best seller was made into an unsuccessful movie so I suppose taking advantage of the elongated mini-series capabilities initiated this version. Unfortunately, the infestation of lame dialogue mixed with over the top acting doesn’t produce unintentional laughter. Watch at your own risk.
