Arctic rises to the top of the survivor genre type films. The journey of a man stranded in the Arctic played by the phenomenal Danish actor Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen is stunning. His almost wordless performance is a master class in acting. All elements of the film mesh together for an authentic experience. Cinematography, editing and music are all pristine. Combine this with a scary emotional story directed brilliantly by Joe Penna, and you finally have a reason to return to a theater in 2019.
