Who would have thought that Witness Uganda, identified as a documentary musical, would be an entertaining masterpiece. The complex score played by an extraordinary four-piece band is magnificent. And when you add powerful spine-chilling voices, inventive staging, gripping choreography and a compelling story, don’t be surprised if your hands get tired of clapping after each number. The story of a gay New York man traveling to Uganda is riveting. The irresistible  finale will have you on your feet. This is a superior winner at The Wallis Annenberg Theater in Beverly Hills through February 23^rd.
