The Sisters Brothers

The Sisters Brothers is a dreary violent western trying to pass itself off as a poetic revisionist film. The single performance that elevates the film is by Riz Ahmed. His expressive eyes steal your attention.  The recreation of San Francisco 1851 is gripping in its detail. The rest of the ridiculous story isn’t worth discussing. Alexandre Desplat’s score has some graceful moments.
