Poem of the Week-Halls

Walking the barren condo halls

My mother and her caregiver mantra

No burdening sunscreen or jacket

Windless eyes

Keeping my 10,000-step goal in check

Breathing in my daily podcasts

Pecan stained doors randomly decorated

Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Politics , Chanukah

Fed ex packages hustled

Amazon stock rises

Dirt brown unstained carpets cushion me

The rare Mezuzah welcoming

Triple locks don’t offer real protection

Carved wood from a break in

Wild chained dogs bark hellos

Housekeepers carry laundry loads

Worried mail hidden among throw away

Steps between floors ache my knees

Rooftop views of West Hollywood

Please let happiness kick in
