Poem of The Week-Mushroomed

Wild mushrooms bragging

Humid pressure drags me down

Bursting rain is waiting

Level playing field

Grass opens growth

Earth moisturizes

Manure nourishes

Eyes absorb the deadly beauty

Sautéing won’t kill the poisons

Clipping the dead food

Destroys the haphazard

Minutes before dewy

Aggravating steps

Accounting for the lilt

Spitting drops wake

The daydreamed walk

Umbrella my sliding head

Mushroomed in funk
