Lenny’s Deli on Westwood Blvd. near Pico is in the former location of Juniors. We had a disastrous Kol Nidre dinner. When the restaurant isn’t filled and you have to wait for a table you know you are in trouble. The waitress seemed very harassed. I asked for gluten free bread which has become a staple at delis. It never came. The other staple is rye bread (for gluten lovers) and pickles. Pickles and sauerkraut finally arrived just as we were about to leave. The food is barely o.k. Dry tasteless chicken with watery vegetables. The white fish cod needed hollandaise sauce to get it down our throats.
