Cocina Roja is an outdoor restaurant perfect for pre-Los Angeles Music Center dining. The connection and ownership to the high-end pricey Patina closer to Walt Disney Halls ensures quality food. The downside is that most dishes are average portions and a l carte. There are no servers. You stand in line to order and pickup your food when the vibrator buzzes. My $13.00 salmon was garnished with grilled onions. I admit it is beautifully tasty. All the sides are $5.00. I chose rice which came in a small bowl. So for $20.00 it wasn’t quite a richly filling meal. The convenience is a plus. It’s possible the tacos on the menu are a better stomach satisfying choice.
