Season Two of “The Sinner” is a stunner. The reliable Bill Pullman refreshes each nuance of the beleaguered police detective. The joy of figuring out why the young boy commits a heinous crime makes this must-see television. Carrie Coon creates another masterful characterization as the mother of the boy. Despite the element of the cliché cult membership, this smart show is gripping.
