Hot Summer Nights

This dreary potboiler gives you a chance to see a film Timothée Chalamet  shot before Call Me By Your Name. That is the only reason this shelved movie is being released. I do have to give the music director credit with using the Shangrilas masterpiece from the 1960’s ”Remember(Walking in the Sand)” in a pivotal scene. This coming of age 1991 Cape Cod story with drug dealing, bromance and a major storm fails on almost every level. But hey we are in the dog days of August where studios like dumping their “B” films.
