A somewhat different take on a solo show about celebrity Bess Myerson, the first and only Jewish Miss America. Instead of portraying Bess, we have the daughter’s perspective. Unfortunately actress Barra Grant, actual daughter of Bess Myerson, isn’t up to the task. Her limited acting skills deaden some finely observed writing about her mother’s life and how it impacted her world. Excellent set and projections salvage the play to a certain extent.
