I am a sucker for dysfunctional family dramas and going into the fourth season The Affair doesn’t disappoint. They’ve moved on from the original mystery about a hit and run murder into more character dynamics. Amazingly the device they’ve been using to show the same story from the point of view of two different characters still works. Throw in Noah and Helen’s teenage son possibly coming out as gay makes for electrifying television.
