In celebration of Pride Month PBS Masterpiece Theater presents “The Man in The Orange Shirt”. The first half takes place during WW2 in England and explores the relationship between Michael and Thomas. The impact of closeted Michael marrying Flora is devastatingly depicted. The second half jumps ahead to current times with Flora and her grandson who happens to be a gay closeted sex addict. This mind-blowing PBS outing is the type of tender soapy melodrama rarely shown. All the acting is spot on with Vanessa Redgrave being especially fetching. Hopefully you can access this through on demand.
