AMC’s new show Dietland is a sort of Drop Dead Diva spinoff. It has a quirky mystery that periodically makes for intriguing television. You must give it credit for being different. Unfortunately it doesn’t have enough soul that makes for continued viewing. It is a thrill to watch Julianna Margulies from The Good Wife and ER having a blast in the over the top character she plays.
