Poem of the Week-Mother Day Blues

Capturing caregiver of

Mom’s last seven years

Satisfying my mother’s artistic craving

Emotionally resonated with Nita

Keeping her negative level low

Sharing your beautiful humanity love

Following her whims

Tender touch that kept her smiling

A guiding shoulder down the halls

Time for me

You made each momentous second travel

A giggling infectious laugh

Wise philosophical words treasured

Gorgeous plates of food

Sweet gifting

Washing away grime soak fragments

Flushing out stabbing pain

Balancing falls

Pulling out the St. Louis past

Men long gone

Friends no longer awake

Thank you Tine.

Happy Mother’s Day Mom.
