Musical Theater West at the Carpenter Center in Long Beach is presenting the west coast premiere of the Broadway show that starred Mathew Broderick. This is a fun lighthearted juke box musical of Gershwin tunes brought together with a sweet old-fashioned story inspired by P.G. Wodehouse. If you don’t have high expectations you will enjoy the singing and choreography. Eric Sciotto does as fine job in the lead with great dancing and vocal chops.(picture above) Additionally it is alway a joy to see Jason Graae add his exuberance to the show.
