A Wrinkle in Time turned out to not be the semi disaster reflected in Rotten Tomatoes. Of course, this was the first time I used my $7.95 a month Movie Pass. (unlimited once a day film going). Thank you sister for turning me onto the pass.  Although the film is geared toward teenage and younger girls, the message of empowerment over evil is universally uplifting. Chris Pine helped escalate my tear ducts before I left the theater. Ava Duvernay does the best she can with the difficult and unwieldly material. Despite the 100 million cost many of the special effects are cheesy. Even with these reservations you will come away refreshed. You might not need to do your mindful meditation for the next 24
