Spielberg keeps cranking these fan boy films out with inconsistent results. The pop references are priceless in this sci-fi 2045 era. You will laugh your mouth off with “The Shining” spoof. The land of Oasis is an alternative virtual reality that satisfies the ramshackle slums that most of the population inhabits. There is an attempt to leave the audience with a message that reality is better than your imagination. Unfortunately, the bloated almost 2 and ½ hour works against your enjoyment.
