The story of Swiss painter and sculptor Alberto Giacometti takes a lot of patience to watch. Geoffrey Rush is his usual brilliant self and the closeups Armie Hammer as Alberto’s portrait model are almost worth the price of admission. Stanley Tucci’s subtle direction does the film no favors.
