| Every Secret Thing is a chilling mystery by Laura Lippman. Wow! Two 11-year-old girls kidnap a baby and they are responsible for the death of the child. Much of the novel covers the period after they have been released from prison seven years after the murder. The book jumps back and forth in time with excellent clarity for maximum suspense. Tons of well-developed characters that make this a real kindle swiper. You are kept on the edge wondering why there is another supposed kidnap in present and whether that relates to the previous murder. Well-earned red herrings.
