Annihilation is an intriguing sci fi which combines Alien, Invasion of the body Snatchers,and 2001 A Space Odyssey. Natalie Portman heads the mostly female cast. I screamed a few times which is always a good sign. The director did Ex Machina and this is another exceptional mood piece. The ending is a bit hokey but you can forgive the film because it has been a fun ride.
