I tried to like this book. I am embarrassed to say I couldn’t finish the novel. On the plus side it dealt with Judiasm and Israel. The writer has pedigree and was married to Jonathan Foer. It was overwritten and plagued with self indulgence. I gave up at the midway point.  The technique of intersecting two time frames did work for me.There have been too many times where I feel compelled to complete important work and am ultimately unsatisfied.
