Poem for Uncle Stan (on left) with partner

Cry Uncle

Last of ten brothers and sisters passed

Always optimistic

A second father

He gave me his old phonograph

Or desktop or laptop

Helped me with any technical issue

Always had a simple answer

That usually worked

Years of color coding at NBC paid off

Took us to a beer garden monorail

In 1966 when we arrived in Los Angeles

Proud of his boat home

An open invitation to each subsequent home

In Las Vegas, Manhattan, or Palm Springs

A deep connection to my dad that died 52 years ago

Strong family ties knitting together coasts

His spirit will linger

A Blitz like no other
