Now that Frances Mc Dormand is getting so much acclaim for Three Billsboards outside Ebbing Missouri you should check out the HBO filmed version of the author Elizabeth Strout’s -“Olive Kitteridge”. You will be well served to read the book before the film.  Mc Dormand’s performance is outstanding and captures all the nuances of the character in the book. Elizabeth writes the sort of family dysfunctional novels that are richly rewarding. You might find her books to be depressing and unrelenting in their downbeat view of life but you will always find redemption when you finish her novels. It will be well worth your time.
